Residents of Sector 137, Noida pay homage to Kargil War martyrs

To mark the Kargil Vijay Diwas, residents of Sector 137, Noida came together at the Vir Stambh Central Park on Friday to pay homage to the martyrs of the Kargil War.
Over 100 residents from various high-rise apartments in the sector paid their respects to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the Kargil War.
“This day holds a special place in everyone’s heart as India won the Kargil War 20 years ago. However, along with victory, also came the loss of our brave hearts. Noida is home to hundreds of army veterans and in our sector too, many residents are from army background,” said Abhisht Kusum Gupta from Volunteers137 group which organized the event.
